Obituary of Lawrence D. Corbett III
Larwrence Corbett III, "Larry", 74, left us on May 26, 2017. He was the son of
the late Pearl Corbett.
Larry graduated from Linton High School's Class of '61 and was a retired steel worker at General
Electric. Larry drove emergency vehicles for Mohawk Ambulance and spent time as a firefighter for East Glenville Fire Department. "Little hands", as he was affectionately known, was never far away
from his citizen band radio.
Larry, well known around town, frequently visited friends and businesses, keeping a watchful eye on neighborhood! (He may of started something from this). He was employed at Glenville Funeral Home
as parking attendant for many years. He enjoyed the supervisory aspect given, whether it be a lamp out in a parking lot or an everyday household project. He relished the time spent at the camp in Stoney Creek with friends, especially the Nichol's family, where he shared so many happy memories. Everyone need not be reminded who his favorite MLB team was
or his affinity for NASCAR.
Larry is lovingly survived by his daughter, Tami Ray and her husband, Ashton, and their children Wyatt and Janey of Beaver Falls, PA; his son, Chad and his wife, Meg of Mechanicville. Larry leaves behind his former wife and close friend, Carol Corbett. A private family gathering will be held at Stoney Creek.
