Obituary of Jacob J. Kownack Sr.

Jacob J, Kownack Sr., 38, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 9, 2017. Jacob was born in Schenectady, NY, the son of Robert Kownack and the late Lillian Kownack. In addition to his father Robert, Jacob is survived by his beloved wife Krystal; his 5 loving children: Jacob Jr. Jason, Joseph, Jeweliana, and Jonathan Kownack; Four brothers: Robert, Joshua, Justin, and Jesse Kownack; three sisters: Victoria (Kevin) Hunt, Joy (Prakash) Dhanaram, and Mary Kownack; Nieces and nephews: Robert Jr., Megan, Prakash Jr, Glory, Josiah, and Jeremiah; and in-laws: Kimberly and James Miele. Uncles and aunts also survive. Jacob was preceded in death by his mother Lillian and his son Jeremiah.  He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother uncle and friend. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville on Wednesday, July 19th from 4-6pm.  Prayers of remembrance will be said at 6pm.

A reception will follow at Friendship House, 955 State St, Schenectady, NY  from 6-9:30pm.
