Obituary of Louis M. Ferraro

Louis “Louie” M. Ferraro, 64, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn. Born in Niskayuna, Louie enjoyed exercising, playing pool, and sports, especially rooting for the Jets. He also enjoyed watching western movies and Jeopardy. Louie’s greatest joy in life was his family and taking care of his home.  Louie retired after many years from the City of Schenectady as a Motor Vehicle Operator.

 Louie is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Amy Palmerino Ferraro, his daughter Noelle Angelozzi and her husband Michael and his son Nicholas Ferraro. His grandchildren Gianna Angelozzi, Vincenza Angelozzi, Dominick Ferraro and Gemma Angelozzi. Louie is also survived by his father Frank Ferraro and his wife Sally, sister in law Linda Fingerhut, brother and sister in law John and Denise Palmerino, his sisters and brother Christine McKeown and her husband Dennis, Maria Dillenbeck, Frank Ferraro and Joanne Famiano Locci. His special aunts and uncle Kitty and Tony Izzo and Margie Willey. Louie’s special nieces Jaimee Fingerhut, Brionna Palmerino, Lindsey (Bob) Palluti and Kendra Fingerhut. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Louie was predeceased by his beloved grandmother Rose Ferraro Fox, his best friend and more than a step father Frank Famiano,   his much loved mother and father in law Amos (Pop) and Virginia (Nan) Palmerino, his buddy and brother in law Joseph E. Fingerhut, his nephew Joseph J. Fingerhut and his best friend Fred Tiscione.  We also know he is happy in heaven with his canine companion and best friend Rocky.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St, Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends may pay their respects following the mass from 1pm-5pm at the Ferraro family home, 5 Priscilla Ln, Rotterdam, NY 12306.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Louie’s name may be made in support of Greyson Anthony Regels at Sunmark Federal Credit Union c/o Justin and Beth Regels.
