Obituary of Terry C. Wade

Terry C. Wade, 73, died peacefully September 1, 2017 at Albany Medical Center. Terry was a NEW YEARS DAY baby, born on January 1, 1944. Beloved son of the late Clifford and Margaret Janowski Wade. Terry graduated from Horseheads High School's class of 1961. He married the former Martha Hoyle on February 13, 1965 in Elmira, NY.

Terry was a all-around outdoors man and avid fisherman his whole life. He was employed for Machinery Apparatus Operations for 39 years, retiring from Bechtel Industries. Following retirement he enjoyed winters in Florida and learned to fly airplanes. Terry had a larger then life personality his friends and acquaintances would attest. Most of all he was devoted to his family, and adored his grandchildren. Terry was predeceased by his sister, Jane Briggs and his brothers, Timothy (Mary Jane) Wade and David Wade.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Martha J. Wade; father of Cheryl (Jeffrey) Wade-Daignault, Michael (Theres) Wade and Christopher (Christine) Wade. His cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Jessica, Dakota, Stephen and Natalie; his brothers, Thomas (Wendy) and Daniel (Kathleen) Wade; and sister, Pamela (Kermit) Mercer. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held tomorrow, Tues., Sept. 5th at 10 a.m. at Burnt Hills United Methodist Church, 816 Saratoga Rd. (Rt. 50) Burnt Hills. There will be no prior calling hours.
