Obituary of Rosella Lupi
Rosella C. Lupi, 91, passed away September 7, 2017 at Mary’s Haven Hospice House. Born in Utica NY.,she was the daughter of the late Frank and Virginia (Inserra) Cucci.
Rosella graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, New York in 1944 and worked as a Senior Stenographer with the New York State Department of Labor until she and her husband Richard, who married in 1954, moved to Charlton, New York in 1955 to raise their family. Rosella was a loving, devoted wife and mother and active volunteer in many community organizations, including the Charlton Heights Elementary School Library and Altar-Rosary Society at Immaculate Conception Church of Glenville, where she was a communicant. She was also very involved in Republican politics in Charlton and Saratoga County, co-founding the Charlton Republican Women’s Club, serving as Secretary-Treasurer of the Charlton Republican Committee, and taking on various leadership roles in the Saratoga County Women’s Republican Club. Rosella was an avid reader and often expressed a desire to become a librarian.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard F. Lupi, daughters Ginnie Lupi, Andrea Lupi Jones (Brett), and Susan E. Lupi Marsa; three grandchildren, David R. Kelly (Brooke), Kristin Kelly and Camryn Kwiatkoski; two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Jonah Kelly, and siblings Atillio Cucci (Marie) and Palmina Brock.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 11 at 9AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. Glenville with Rev. Jerry Gingras officiating. Calling hours will be tomorrow (Sept. 10) from 2-5 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville, NY.

Rosella will be laid to rest at St. Anthony’s Mausoleum, Glenridge Rd. Glenville.
