Obituary of Angie L. Polito
Angie Polito, 92, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2017 with her loving family
at her side.
Born on May 31, 1925 in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Louis and
Julia (Fratangelo) Maselli.
She was married on July 13, 1947 to her first and only love, Sam Polito. Together they raised their family on Culver Avenue in Colonie, NY, where they made beautiful memories to last a lifetime.
Sam passed away on January 18, 1999. Angie cherished family gatherings and
spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Angie was an avid member of the Church of St. Clare’s for many years prior to moving to Glenville with her daughter and son-in-law in 2014. She then became a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Glenville.
She was predeceased also by her brother Joseph Maselli.
Surviving family include her son, Sam (Rose) Polito, daughters, Janet (Bob) D'Amario
and Debbie Polito; grandchildren: Shelli (Scott) Jaracz, Sammy “Little Sam” (Korin) Polito, Julianne (Richard) Reynolds, Robert D’Amario, Nicole D’Amario, Jacqualyne (Jonathan) Goodell, Diana (Brian) McLaughlin and Santino (Britani) D’Amario.
Cherished great grandmother of Joanna, Milana, Keira, Angelo, Luciana, Lorenzo, Ava, Sofia, Olivia, and Dominic.
Angie also leaves behind her sister, Delores Marinucci; sister-in-law, Theresa Maselli and many nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 26th, from 5 to 8 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 AM on Friday, October 27th, at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville. A procession to Angie’s final resting place at St. Cyril Cemetery in Rotterdam will take place after Mass.
Memorial contributions on Angie’s behalf may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
