Obituary of Patricia Pacelli

The Lord has taken our mom, Patricia (Simmons) Pacelli, to be reunited with our dad, Anthony, on October 27, 2017.

Our mom was born in Troy, NY on May 4, 1928. Her parents, Donald and Pauline Simmons, raised three girls; Katherine (Henderson), Patricia and Alice (Trowbridge), all now who have passed.

Mom met dad while working as a secretary at G.E. They married on June 24, 1950; raised three girls, Lisa (James) Perkins, Lauren Hailey and Susan (Stephen) Mitchell. Mom was a dedicated housewife who took care of us all the while, living in Rotterdam. In 1967 our family moved to Clifton Park and mom went to work in the library at SUNY/Albany. She loved it there and enjoyed the people who also worked there with her.

She was an avid bowler and skier throughout her life. She retired from the workplace in 1990. Once retired, she now chose to help take care of her grandchildren along with caring for dad. She also took in and cared for our sister, Lauren. Mom was devoted to her family, a loving wife, Mother, Nana and GG. Her love of family will continue to grow with her grandchildren: Bailey (Nathan) Baker, Mallory Perkins, Landon (Allison) Perkins and Payton Mitchell; her great grand babies: Caedan, Olivia, Micah, Julianne Baker and Penelope Perkins. With all our love and gratitude we would like to thank the caregivers who became part of our family, especially Angel, Shakema and Kernesha. You have guided us through a most difficult journey and we are forever grateful.

Mom will be reunited with our dad at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Veteran's Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. in Schuylerville, NY. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, October 30, at 12 P.M. at the cemetery committal service shelter.
