Obituary of Alice A. Ferraro

Alice A. Ferraro (Jewett), 91, passed away peacefully Nov. 3, 2017 at the Wesley Health Center, her family by her side.


Born in Newton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Chandler and Elsie Jewett. She was united in marriage to Michael Ferraro on August 9, 1964 and raised a family in Rotterdam, NY. Alice was of the Roman Catholic belief. In her younger years she was a professional dancer, instructor for Arthur Murray's Dance Center.


She once worked at Veeder's Restaurant in Colonie and later enjoyed being a receptionist for Inner Circle Beauty Salon.


Alice enjoyed casino trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City. Her hobbies included painting and crafting. Her family was most important to her.

 

She was predeceased by her sister Elsie Jewett.

Survived by her husband, Michael "Mickey" Ferraro, her children, son Michael Ferraro of Rotterdam and Melissa (Greg) Mulderry of East Greenbush, NY.; grandchildren, Michael, Stephen and William Ferraro. Alice leaves behind her brothers, George (Eulah) and William (Grace) Jewett and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 7th at 1 PM at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd, Rev. Jerry Gingras officiating. Calling hours precede from 11-1 PM.

The family thanks the wonderful staff (5th floor) at Springs, at Wesley Health Center, for their care and comforting support shown Alice during her 3 year stay.
