Obituary of Julia Catozzi

Julia Catozzi, 101, entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2017. She passed away peacefully at Pleasant View Center in Concord, NH.  Born in Ballston Spa, NY on October 19, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Angeline Isabelle Di Pasquale.

Julia was married to Robert F. Catozzi in 1945. Prior to marrying Robert she was employed at G.E. as an administrative assistant until her children were born.

Later, Julia worked as a market analyst, retiring in 1978. Julia was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Scotia for many years. Since moving to NH in 2011,she attended Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Concord. She was a member of ARC in both Schenectady and Amsterdam Chapters.

Julia's family was her deepest devotion and her faith continued to sustain her throughout her life. Her generosity was offered to family and friends and Julia's face would truly light up when children were in her presence, with her grandchildren becoming her true glories.

 Julia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert, and their daughter, Diane Catozzi (Oct. 2017), whose care she lovingly tended to for many years.

Survivors include: daughter, Roberta Thompson and son-in-law David of Concord, NH; three grandchildren, Cole Thompson of FL ,Kelly Thompson of CA, and Amanda Thompson of NH, one great grandson, Carter Thompson of FL, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM on Monday, November 13, at St. Joseph's Church, Second St. in Scotia.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a calling period from 9 to 10 AM on Monday, Nov. 13th, at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Glenville will follow the mass.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are kindly requested to honor Julia at either Amsterdam's Liberty Enterprises 43 Liberty Drive, Amsterdam NY 12010 or to St. Joseph's Church, MacArthur Drive, Scotia, NY 12302.
