Obituary of Rocco Pitucci

Rocco Pitucci, 81, passed away November 18, 2017, following a short illness, in his hometown of Chiete (Province of Abruzze), Italy. Rocco leaves his beloved wife Ava (Esposito) Pitucci, married April 10, 1960, one son and one daughter, and seven cherished grandchildren, all in Chiete. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Romelo Pitucci. Born on August 9, 1936 Rocco grew up and was educated in Italy where he was a farmer by trade. Soon he learned the building trade from a mason to skilled carpenter. Rocco designed and built his own home from scratch. Rocco was considered a "Jack of all trades" to those who knew him around Chiete. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith and attended St. Anthony's Church locally when visiting his relatives in the capital district. Other surviving members of Rocco's family include his brother, Gino Pitucci (Rosemary) of Rotterdam, NY, and his sisters, Rosa and Angelina of Chiete, Italy. A Mass will be offered in memorium by members of the Pitucci Family on December 31st, at 8:30 AM, at St. Anthony's Church (Nott St. at Seward Pl) Schenectady, NY. Assisting the family with arrangements locally is the Glenville Funeral Home of Scotia-Glenville, NY.
