Obituary of Nancy K. Haynes

Beloved mother, Nancy K. Haynes (O'Donnell) passed away in her home in Glenville, NY, on Saturday, December 2, 2017, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her four children, Sue (Christopher) Lombardi, of Glenville, NY; Matthew Dudley and Daniel O'Donnell, both of Schenectady, NY; and Shawn Dudley (Elizabeth Ostman) of St. Petersburg, FL. "Nana" was also the proud grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren, John Lombardi, Nikolas Lombardi, and Katya Lombardi, all of of Glenville.Nancy worked for four decades as a NYS Registered Nurse in a variety of settings, including hospital nursing, private duty nursing (where she spent many years specializing in end-of-life care), and public health nursing. She was a wonderful mother, and a devoted friend, know to all to be kind, patient, caring, considerate, and thoughtful. She will be missed beyond words by all those who knew and loved her.A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held at the Community Room of Highland Square Apartments at 88 Saratoga Road, in Glenville, NY at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Nancy's name, to the Belanger School of Nursing at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.
