Obituary of Mary Rose Cinelli

Mary Rose Cinelli, 86, of Glenville, died on December 15, 2017. Born in Schenectady to the late Anthony and Teresa (Vacca) Cinelli. Mary was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Providence College, RI and pursued graduate studies in theology at Boston College. She was a Director and Teacher of Religious Education for 43 years in various regions including California, Georgia, Vermont, New Jersey and New York. Mary was a member of the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement (Graymoor) for 24 years. Before retirement in 1996 she was Director of Religious Education at Immaculate Conception Parish in Glenville. She continued to volunteer at the parish and was a volunteer at Northeast Parent & Child in Schenectady for 5 years.

Survivors include her brother, Anthony A. Cinelli DDS, his wife Harriet, nieces and nephews, Lisa Cinelli, Laurie Cinelli, Raymond and his wife Katie Cinelli, Anthony and his wife Jen Cinelli, Lynne and her husband Michael Burmeister. She is also survived by grand nieces and nephews. 

There are no calling hours at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Saratoga Road, Glenville on Thursday December 21, 2017 at 10am. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brandywine Ave., Schenectady at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement at Graymoor, 41 Old Highland Tpke., Garrison, NY 10524-9716.
