Obituary of Rita Polsinelli

Rita Polsinelli (nee: DeFelice), 85, passed away peacefully at her home January 10, 2018. Rita was a lifelong Schenectady/Glenville resident and a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She was employed several years in the drafting department at G.E. She was married on October 17, 1954. She and her beloved husband, Anthony Posinelli, enjoyed nearly 64 years of marriage. When her children were grown Rita worked for Schenectady County until retiring in 1988. Rita was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church. She was proudest of her family and grandchildren; also enjoying her eight beautiful great grandchildren. Rita and Tony enjoyed traveling to different eastern Caribbean islands over the years. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Angelina (Mastroianni)
DeFelice; brothers, Louie and Tony DeFelice, sister Josephine Amedore.
Survivors include her loving husband Tony Posinelli, sons, Michael (Carol) and Anthony (Nancy)Polsinelli; grandchildren: Michael (Wendy), Nicholas (Irina), Adam (Taylor) Polsinelli; Teresa (Dan) Griffen, Dana Polsinelli and Lisa (Tim) Higgins. Rita leaves behind her cherished 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal service will be held January 15th at 1:30 PM at St. Anthony's Cemetery, 18 Glenridge Rd., Glenville.
