Obituary of Patricia Ann Harper

Patricia Ann Harper, (nee: Taylor), gracefully passed at home, January 17, 2018. Pat was the beloved wife of the late William S. Harper who passed away August 1, 2016.  

Born in Central Islip, Long Island on January 22, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lucy (Bothwell) Taylor. She met her husband Bill in Long Island  and married on April 15, 1972. For several years Pat was a hairdresser at Glendale Nursing Home. Later, Pat was a secretary for the Scautub Agency in Schenectady.  

Pat took an interest with her neighborhood association and was President of Oak Ridge Gardens Neighborhood Watch. She also was on the board of directors making sure residents were all treated fairly. Pat was a longtime active member of Centre Glenville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping and conversing with friends. She will be truly missed.  

She was predeceased by her son, Mark Harper, grandson Timothy Harper and her sister, Diana Still. She leaves behind her children: Brook Harper, Todd (Jaime) Harper and Melissa (Richard) Adams, grandchildren: Steven Harper, Hannah Harper, Arika, Alaina and Logan Adams, and Luca, Connor and Katelyn Harper. Survivors also include her brother, Albert (Claudia) Taylor and June (Hugh) McMenamin, Dawn (George) Dietz and Jean (Richard) Gerlach; numerous nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends may call at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Scotia-Glenville, Saturday (January 20) from 3 to 5 PM. Services will be held in the spring with burial in the churches cemetery.
