Obituary of Dawn Marie Kelsey

Dawn Marie Kelsey passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of Friday, January 19th. She resided in Scotia, NY but spent her childhood in Delaware County. She was born February 7th, 1961 to Linda Hughes and the late Bruce Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan Kelsey. She will be remembered for her huge heart, her contagious laugh and her caring touch. She was the voice of reason and giver of sage advice and in times, when there was no perfect solution, the source of support as she often told us, “it is what it is honey...now just let it go”.Dawn was a certified nursing assistant at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, NY, where she spent her life caring for others. She is survived by her mother and step father, William Hughs; brother, Brian Clark (Betsy) and sister, Debra Anderson. She is also survived by her nieces, Nicole Anderson (great-niece, Elena) who was basically her daughter and Kaci Anderson; her two nephews, Evan and Wade Clark. Three step daughters, who weren't step in her eyes, Kristin Nellenbach, Danyelle Trevino and Lee Ross along with amazing grandchildren. She is also survived by her wonderful friends Katie and Dominick DeSantis and their son Dominick Micheal who were always a knock on the door away.Family meant the world to her and as we mourn and miss her tremendously, we know she's okay and back with the love of her life. Love you more.Assisting the family with arrangements is the Glenville Funeral Home of Scotia-Glenville, NY. Online GLENVILLEFUNERALHOME.COM
