Obituary of Julia Krein Sheppard

Julia Krein Sheppard, 77, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Newark, NJ she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Krein, Sr. and Anna Pawlyna Krein. Julia was a 1958 graduate of Archbishop Walsh High School in Irvington, NJ. She married her beloved late husband Charles Sheppard on October 13, 1962 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Newark, NJ. Julia was a longtime member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville, NY. Above all she loved her family deeply.

 Survivors include her daughters Suzanne (David Melchert) Sheppard and Christine (Kevin) Hourihane. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Joseph Krein, John (Fran) Krein, Mary (George) Corrigan, Cecilia (Robert) Fletcher and Loretta (Ed) Dougherty. Many nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Calling hours for Julia will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 9am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd, Glenville. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
