I was very sad to hear the news of Mike's passing. We grew up in the same neighborhood and played together as kids. We would play basketball with friends for hours, or go in the woods and play army. I saw him several years ago when I bought a car at Fogg's. We were talking of those days, and at that point Luke was young and my boys were as well. One thing Mike said to my boys is that "All we needed in those days to have fun was the woods and some sticks": That was my last memory of Mike. He really was at peace and content. He was a natural at mechanics and we discussed a few things about the car I was purchasing and some maintenance strategies or something.
He had a glow and a joy about him. I could see that he really enjoyed what he was doing. I regret that I did not keep in touch with him, and that saddens me deeply. I want to convey my sincerest condolences to his family. I will hug my boys close tonight as my younger ones are about Luke's age. I am very sorry to hear the news.
Thank you for the video. It was a blessing to honor him like that.
