Obituary of Loretta Ayers Adams

Loretta Ayers Adams, 84, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2018 at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family. Born in High Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret Ayers. She was educated at Kingston High School and married her beloved late husband Frederick T. Adams Jr. in 1952. Loretta retired after many faithful years from the Glendale Nursing Home in Glenville as a Nurse’s Aide. Following her retirement, she continued working as a private care giver up until last year. Loretta enjoyed antiques, cooking and taking care of people. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

Loretta was predeceased by her husband Frederick T. Adams Jr., her beloved son Frederick T. Adams III, her son in law Jim VanSteenburg, her sister Evelyn Ayers, brothers Barry and Phillip Ayers.

She is survived by her children Marilyn VanSteenburg, Richard (Melissa) Adams, Gary Adams and David Adams. Loretta is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Lisa (Don) Robar, Geoffrey (Shawna) LaCerais, Matthew (Dana) LaCerais, Arika Adams, Alaina Adams, Logan Adams and 12 great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers and sisters Herbert (Nancy) Ayers, William (Eleanor) Ayers, Ted Ayers, Helen Chick and Joan Nersesian as well as her sister in law Florence VanDermark and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Loretta will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10am to 12pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. Funeral services will follow at 12pm at the Glenville Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
