Obituary of Constance Gallup
Constance Gallup (Sokolowski), 83, passed away on February 23, 2018. She was born in Schenectady on July 17, 1934, the daughter of Ludwig and Jean (Prezkop) Sokolowski. She married Edward R. Gallup on April 16, 1955 at St. Mary's Church (Eastern Ave). Connie was employed by Mohawk National Bank, Dr. Polesny, and as an account clerk at The Golub Corporation. Connie enjoyed traveling with her husband and attending automobile swap meets. When Connie was young she enjoyed her ballet lessons and performing. Later in life Connie loved spending time with her family at the ocean as well as at her parents camp in the Adirondacks. She had been a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. She had a love for all of God's creatures, especially dogs and cats.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and her brother, Louis Sokolowski. Survivors include her children: daughters, Susan (George) Visconti, Diane Persons (Dave Greenwood), Cheryl (Glenn) Armstrong, Barbara (Brian) Thomson; and a son, Robert (Rena) Gallup; nine grandchildren; Eric (Rosie) Persons, RJ, Matthew (Emily) and Hannah Gallup, Gregory, Olivia, Grace, Maddey and Kate Thomson and three great grandchildren; Leah and Lindsay Persons and Bentley Gallup. Connie also leaves behind her brother John (Kathy) Sokolowski, her sister, Elizabeth Wilson, and sister in law Madeline Sokolowski, as well as several nieces and nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratgoa Rd. with Rev. Jerome Gingras officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited and may also call Wednesday from 6-8PM at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. (off Rte. 50) Glenville. Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. Memorial contributions are welcomed in Connie Gallup's name to APF, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302.
