Obituary of Robert P. Macherone

Robert P. Macherone passed away suddenly in Stuart, Florida on March 5, 2018 with his loving family at his side. 

For 40 years he worked at General Electric and IUE Local 301as a Union Board member and Director of the E.A.P program. He went out of his way to help many families in this program. 

He loved spending his winter in Florida and recently at Sacandaga in his summer camp.

Robert’s family was the most dearest to him. He made many sacrifices for his family at all times. He will be so missed and never forgotten.

Predeceased by his Father, Michael Joseph and brother in law Michael Lawya.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 40 years, Debbie Macherone; his mother, Vincenza DeNofio; son, Rob (Jessica) Macherone; daughter, Crystal (Todd) Miller; step-daughter, Sonja Andersen, as well as many cherished grandchildren: Dennis (Amanda) Kimball, Keyera Macherone Ehrcke, Savannah Andersen, Levi Andersen, Kayden Miller and Evan Macherone; siblings: Salvatore (Mary) Macherone, Anthony (Diane) Macherone, Dominick (Christine) Macherone, Victoria Lawya, and David (Mary) DeNofio. He was a very devoted man to his family and will be missed dearly by all. 

Calling hours will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, on March 16th from 4 to 8 PM. Funeral Services on March 17th 9AM at St. John the Evangelist. Entombment to follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
