We were all so saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. She was a vital member for so long of the Life Lines: Writing Memoir group of the Town of Ballston Library in Burnt Hills. Her stories were a delight to read and remember. I read one a week ago called "Sidewalks and Snowbanks" and another member brought in another story "Mouse Tails" which I read today in class. I hope her stories the work she did on both her husband's and father's letters and stories are preserved for the family and for the local library or historical society! She was indefatigable.
