Obituary of Andrea Irene Slover
Andrea Irene Slover, 71, entered the eternal kingdom of God on April 26, 2018 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's, in the presence of her family.Born in Brooklyn, Andrea was the daughter of the late Bernard and Doris (Namm) Dworkin. She worked as a personnel specialist in human Resources for the Department of Defense. Andrea was married to Peter M. Slover on May 16, 1981 in Chicago, IL.
She was a former member of the Scotia Lions and a longtime member of East Glenville Community Church.Andrea was proud of her service in both the army and navy in the reserves. She enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics and was an avid fan of the Jets and Yankees sport teams. The most joy in life came watching her children and grandchildren in their activities and accomplishments over the years.
Andrea was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jordyn Santabarbara in 1992 and her son, Peter M. Slover Jr. in 2002. Survivors include her husband, Peter Slover; son, A. Edward (Jennifer) Tracy; daughters, Karen (Tony) Santabarbara and Kim (Stephen) DiCamillo; beloved brother and sisters, Robert (Pat) Dworkin, Lois (Steven) Berse and Ruth (Matt) Smith. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Justin and Taylor Santabarbara, Daniel and Benjamin DiCamillo and Kyle and Sarah Tracy; several nieces and nephews and dear friend who was like a sister to Andrea, Joy Wilday.
Funeral services on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at East Glenville Community Church, 335 Saratoga Rd. Calling hours Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Scotia-Glenville.Interment with honors bestowed at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
