Obituary of Alfred L. Hubert

Alfred L. Hubert, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 9th, 2018 at  Ellis Hospital.  

Born in North Cohoes (Waterford), he was the son of the late Ludger and  Evelina St. Albin Hubert. 

He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 -1953.  Al was united in marriage to the former Dolores Goncharuk on November 4, 1961. 

He worked for G.E. for 37 years, retiring in 1990.  Al enjoyed reading books, taking trips with his family and going to the theatre.   He lived in Glenville for 40 years and was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. 

Al was predeceased by his siblings: Leo, Wilfred and Clara Hubert.  

Survivors include his beloved wife Dolores, his daughter Lisa Hubert (Michael Hard), son Stephen (Dawn) Hubert and daughter, Karen (Ralph) Friello; grandchildren: Anthony, Ashlynn Friello, Ben and Ryan Hubert, Jesse and Stephanie Hard.  He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Claudia O’Brien, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 15th at 9 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. with Rev. Jerry Gingras officiating. Entombment will follow military honors at the Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylerville.  Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis TN 38105.
