Obituary of Elizabeth M. Risley
Elizabeth “Betty” M. Risley, 90, passed peacefully on June 17, 2018.
Born and raised in Boston, MA. Betty attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
She married the late Clyde Risley on February 2, 1952. Together they raised their children in New York City and Long Island. They moved their family to Charlton in 1975.
An accomplished artist; she used her artistic talents to restore historical antique clothing and vintage dolls. She was a doll collector, and closely involved with the Shaker Museum and the Shaker Doll Club. Betty enjoyed the Ballston Spa Bottle Museum and Brookside Museum. She will always be remembered for her sharp mind and sense of humor.
Predeceased by her husband, Clyde, in 1997, and her sister Marion.
Survivors include her son, Craig Risley of West Charlton; daughters, Claudia Risley Fuller of Ballston Spa and Caren Risley of England; grandchildren, Scott Risley, Mallory Risley, Nicole Fuller, Christine Hester, Stephen Mulqueen, Leo Mulqueen; great grandchildren, Benjamin and Riley Hester and Samson DeVoe.
