You are my sister, maid of honor and best friend - who could have asked for more. We grew really close as we got older - I cherish every minute of it. So many memories -going to the beach by boat, clamming in our bikinis listening/dancing to music, skiing with headsets on, playing guitar and of course dancing at the OBI. Wow- music was a big part of our lives. Spending family time upstate with Mom and Dad - skiing, big dinner gatherings and of course the "ring game". The family grew so large that we had to take turns visiting but we always seemed to visit together.
I truly miss those times!! I miss our LONG conversations - we could talk and laugh for hours.
You are in my thoughts all of the time!!!! I still cry listening to certain songs. Miss you!!!

This is how I remember Barbara, always smiling and helping others have a great time. We had so much fun that day at the lake. I got to see Donna, Debbie and families after many years and meet Gerry's family. They all included us and treated us with such warmth and love. It saddened me to hear about Barbara's illness and passing. There are so many fond memories of the Abrams family,snow and water-skiing,and at Garnet Lake Lodge a very long time ago.I enjoyed when you visited Arizona so much. I will miss our long phone calls and your beautiful laugh. We haven't seen each other in a long time but when we talked it was like time stood still. We have so many great memories from a long time ago. It all started in 7th grade home room, Abrams and Andrews lol. Nassau Shores, Oak Beach - the wonderful mussels and beer and one of my fondest memories was your beautiful wedding.... what fun skiing down the mountain. RIP my dear friend. I hope your Mom and Shawna were there to greet you. The heavens are a little brighter now.

I have so many great memories of Barbara and her sisiters and brothers too, when we were growing up on Long Island; spending summers at the beach, and every Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. I especially remember her great singing and guitar playing and how beautiful and talented she was. I have a lot of great memories of skiing together at Gore and having a blast! The most beautiful wedding,of course was Barbara and Gerry's wedding at the Top of Gore Mountain. I love to tell everyone about that wedding.
I will really miss talking on the phone with Barbara and staying in touch on Facebook the best we could since I live so far away in North Carolina!

We remember Barbara as a little girl who would charge past her sister, and brothers to greet us when we visited. When she and our children were together, Barbara's joyful voice rang out.
