I am so sorry for being so late with this note, but I just came upon this site and felt the need to contribute. When my sister relayed the news a few weeks ago, I choked up. I thank God for Mr. Bullis. In more ways then I can say, he made a difference in my life. I now realize, 35 years later, that he didn't have to drive me to school every morning or allow me in his home or be my advocate, but he did. He was good to me and I am grateful. So sad to hear of his passing. I think about the whole family often... Terri & John, NLA, Mt. Pleasant, the house on the hill... brings a smile to my face. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I’m so sorry I missed the funeral. Walter was my first driving instructor. When I was young years 1996 I think, 2001-2002 and then if I had refreshers courses I may have, however do not remember all the dates. He was very kind to me, and will always be remembered. So sad learning this, but after reading about Jesus in his life I am sure he is with Jesus now.

Marching together in the NLA band down State St in Sch’dy. It was so cold, I wasn’t much of a drummer yet Walt encouraged us all. He made me feel like I just marched in the Rose Bowl parade. Every time I hear a trombone I’ll think of you!
