Obituary of Eugene Quattrociocchi
Eugene Quattrociocchi, 82, of Glenville, entered peacefully into eternal life on March 19, 2021. He was born in Schenectady, New York on December 1, 1938 to Anthony and Adeline Quattrociocchi. Gene graduated from Draper High School in 1956 and Siena College in 1960, where he received his degree in Chemistry. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1961-1963, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He started his career in 1963 at SI Group, formerly Schenectady Chemicals, as a Technical Business Manager and retired after 39 years as a Research Director of the Resin Division.
Gene enjoyed life, especially fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling and traveling. He was a member of the Schenectady Dorp Bowling League for over 50 years. In 1968, he married the love of his life, Helen Della Selva Quattrociocchi. Gene was a long-time parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, serving in their church ministries.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Adeline, his Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law Mary and Frank Della Selva; Sisters and Brothers-in-Law Armand and Antoinette Aldi; Mary and Anthony Derenzo; Albert Mannato; Rose and Anthony Cassillo; and nieces Diane Mannato Parks and Debra Cassillo.
Gene is survived by his wife Helen and his Sister-in-Law Flora Mannato as well as his cherished nieces and nephews: Patricia Aldi, Albert & Rosemary Aldi, Anna Marie & Michael Symanski, Linda & Larry Frame, Anthony Cassillo, John & Sandy Caffarella, Richard & Denise Aldi, Kathy & John Leone, Joanne & David Breakell, Steven & Gina Mannato, Vincent & Sarah Mannato, his Aunt Helen DiCarlo and several cousins, great and great great nieces & nephews and special cousin Donna DiDonato.
A special thank you to Dr. Benoit Tonneau and his staff as well as Cardiology Associates for their compassionate care for many years and to Kingsway Home Care Aides, Shawn, Henry, Lee, Asha, Jasmine, Imaani and Christela. Also, to the A6 unit and staff at Ellis Hospital for providing Gene with the finest care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling period on Tuesday March 23,2021 from 8am- 10am at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road Glenville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road Glenville. Entombment with Military Honors will be at the Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum.
