I am sorry to Hear of Al's Passing. I have so many memories of him while I was growing up. He was always at my Fathers Sunday card games and went hunting and fishing with my family for many years. My condolences go out to his Family.

I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. When I was up home to bury my mom in Sept, he gave me the nicest hug and good bye, as he knew we would probably not see each other again as I wouldn't be returning to Ballston Lake anytime soon. He was a great neighbor and my dad spent many of hours sitting across the street watching the traffic and solving the worlds problems. After my dad passed, he was a great asset to my mom as my mom was to him after Ruth passed. Mom would cook him dinner every night, until her health started to fail, but Al was always there to take my mom's trash in and out and to retrieve her mail. Both of them look after each other and now they are both gone. He will be greatly missed. I hope you find peace in the coming days.

My Uncle Al (Now glad to know that his name is actually Alex :) ) was always a gentle man and dedicated to family. He will always be pictured in my mind with a fishing pole in his right hand and a beer in his left and a pipe dangling from his mouth with a war veteran hat on. He was patriotic and loving, sweet and funny. I remember he tried to give me some black licorice one time because it looked good and never tried it. I took one bite and spit it out. All he could do was chuckle and said that black licorice was good. The following summer, he brought me a box of Good and Plenty, just as he promised. He put a few pieces in my hand and said that I should try it. After a couple of chews, I spit it out because I didn't know there was black licorice in it. Again, he laughed. And he said that it was okay that I at least tried it and put it away. I will miss that man. Love you Uncle Alex!!

I am sorry to here of the passing of the unofficial major of Lakehill Rd. Al and my father used to sit out front of Als house everyday and discuss the local happenings. After my father passed he helped my mother get the mail and put out the garbage cans generally keeping an eye on her. We greatly appreciated his assistance. He will will be greatly missed as a fixture of Lakehill Rd.
