When I think of Grandma Gardam, I remember the many occasions spent learning and playing card games - from solo games of solitaire to golf to large groups playing president. Grandma was always caring and warm, so when I hadn't seen her for a while it was sometimes a surprise when something that amused her would result in a strong slap to my arm. I would quickly remember that this was a sure sign of being in her inner circle and well-loved!
She always wanted to know about her grandchildren and great grandchildren and what we were doing and interested in. I am grateful that we have had her loving presence so long and that she was able to live with the support of her children in her final years. We will cherish our memories and keep her mixer busy making delicious cakes and cookies to share with our loved ones. XO
