Obituary of Shirley M. Gardam

Shirley Margaret Gardam, 96 of Brunswick, born on May 28, 1925, passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2021 surrounded by her children. Shirley was born in Newboro, Ontario and lived in various homes in Ontario, Michigan, Florida and New York with her late husband, the Reverend Robert F. Gardam. In addition to being a devoted mother, she was involved in multiple parish activities, including church guilds and charity work. In her later years, she particularly enjoyed the Albany Symphony Orchestra. 

She was predeceased by her brothers and sister and beloved niece, Lillian Dowling. Shirley is survived by her four children, Robert of East Berne NY, Brian (Claire) of Canton NY, Maggie (Peter Bigras) of Perth On., David (Mary McCarthy) of Brunswick NY and grandchildren Sarah Gardam Thomas, Sonja Mishalanie, Rachel Lamb, Eric Mishalanie, Adam Gardam, Andrea Gardam, Ethan Gardam Nicholas Gardam, And great grandchildren, Lucy Thomas, Violet Thomas, Miles Mishalanie, and Madeleine Lamb-Curtin. 

A graveside memorial will be held next spring in Newboro, Ontario.
