I met Peter while driving school bus, I was going through a difficult divorce and Peter would walk and talk with me. He was so kind , accepting and proud of his family and had such love for his wife. He truly gave me reasons to believe in second chances. I always told him all men should be like he was. When my time finally came to remarry I found myself making sure my husband had that same kind accepting heart that Peter did. I ran into him a few times over the years and his fantastic smile always shining. I am truly sorry for your loss, Peter is a great man, I wish there were more

To Pete, You were the best father-in-law a man could ever ask for. Your kindness, generosity and sage wisdom during those early years had an immeasurable impact on our lives. You were a gentlemen in every sense.......someone I always looked up to but fell woefully short of emulating. You had an infectious smile and a wonderful laugh.......I'm not sure I remember you ever being mad or saying a harsh word about anyone. It was such an honor and a joy to treat you and Kathy to dinner in celebration of your 80th birthday. We had such a good time that night; the last time we saw one another.
