Obituary of Samantha Neil

Samantha Lee Neil, age 24, a resident of Rexford, NY passed away suddenly at her home October 21, 2012. Samantha was born in Albany, NY on March 3, 1988. She was the youngest daughter of Douglas and Robin Neil. She leaves behind her sister Jennifer and her brother Andrew; also her maternal grandparents Raymond and Katherine Schiend of Millerton, NY, her paternal grandmother Anne deMarken Neil of Lakeville, CT and her great grandmother, Katherine Disbrow of Millerton, NY; several cherished aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her best friend Kasey Kaiser. Samantha graduated from Shendendehowa High School and completed her Bachelor's in Psychology from Siena College. She was an avid equestrian, enjoyed skiing and playing her flute. Samantha had a keen sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh. She had an affection for horses, dogs and her cat. She was on this earth for such a short time, yet she touched so many lives. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Friday (October 26) at 11 AM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. (near intersection of Rte. 50) with Rev. Jerome Gingras officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may also call at the Glenville Funeral Home 5 -7 PM on Thursday (October 25).
