I will never forget Al. He had a kind, gentle and easy way about him that was evident when I first met him that just made you feel at ease. This kindness still ensued even after I nearly drowned us both in the canal. I am blessed that I got to know him and that a piece of him forever exists in my son who is also his grandson. Before I met Al Lotano for the first time, Julie Kranick told me that Al was 6'6" and 300 lbs. When I met him, he was not that big, but I realized that he was giant in her eyes, and he has been a giant for the entire Kranick and Lotano families, a kinder, nicer man, I have never met.
