It was through Mrs. Almy, “Aunty Marge” where I had my first introduction to appreciating the outdoors. Just walking through the woods in her backyard was such a treat! It was through her where I first learned to swim in her pool, eat berries off the bush, and enjoy years and years of wonderful memories at her summer camps and neighborhood Christmas parties - childhood memories I will always cherish because of her.
She was also my mom’s biggest fan! She always had so much respect and admiration for my mom, as my mom did for her. She looked to her as a sister, telling me “I’ve known Marge even longer than I’ve known my own!”. She was loved by her neighbors “across the street” so much, and will be forever in her hearts.
