It's been almost 8 years now since I lost my dad who was also my best friend. I still think of him every second of every day. He was an an amazing human being and cared for anyone that crossed his path. I love you dad.

Mary and Family, I was so very sorry to learn about Roy passing away. He was an excellent police officer, kind, compassionate and also very strong when he needed to be. He was an asset to our department and he carried on in keeping with the best traditions of the police service. Roy and I first met in Washington DC. We both had the same soldiers name on our MIA POW bracelet. From that day on, I knewthe four of us could be friends forever. When Roy and Mary came to Detroit and stayed in our home we had the best time ever! We are deeply saddened over his loss, but forever grateful for our friendship. We'll miss you my friend.

Mary and family,we are very sorry for the passing of Roy. I met Roy when we worked in machine repair at GE. We were both the young guys. We had both just got out of the Navy and were going to set the world on fire. Roy got his dream job on the police department and I stayed at GE. He was a good man and we are all better for him.

My Uncle Roy and I could always be found spending time together. He has taught me much about the environment that surrounds us, history of the Adirondack Mountains, and about life in general. Because of many of these talks, he has influenced me to continue my education at Paul Smith's College where he told me he wished he went. We have spent countless hours together woodworking, hiking, and even doing nothing but taking in the sounds of Hope Falls nature at his home. I have been honored to go on search and rescue missions by his side. There is so much to say about my mentor, a veteran, a true one-of-a-kind man, my Uncle... I could keep going on...
Until we meet again, you will truely be missed.

I was so sad to hear about Roy's crossing over...I am so thankful our paths crossed at SMHA - he made a tough job look easy, because of his caring, accepting nature. We had lost touch but I thought of him and Mary often, and always thought there was plenty of time to re-connect. I am thankful for the time we got to spend together and all of the laughs and stories we shared. I was very saddened to see he passed, and although I have not seen him since high school, I recognized that smile right away.
