Bill and I send our deepest sympathy for your loss of Bill. He was a super guy,who frequently sent us gorgeous and entertaining photos via E-Mail. He was so friendly, and tried his darndest to convince me to get onto Skype. I always wanted to see his RR set, but never made it over to his house with Arlene, to do it.

We have shared laughter and we have shared tears. Bill has been a special friend for many years. His quiet witty sense of humor combined with his twinkling eyes was so uplifting. He enjoyed Florida and the Eton ..his condo there. he loved Crabby Bill's restaurant so much that he was a walking advertisement for them with his Crabby Bill's cap. We have many close memories from dance classes,to Galway lake gatherings, to Florida trips. "Those were the days my friend, yes those were the days " We will miss you.

The greatest memory I have of Mr. Bill Rohling is the scary Halloween parties he and his wife, Jean, used to have every year in his garage. We were only maybe 9, 10, or 11 years old (if I recall) at the time, and the things he used to rig up scared the heck out of us. I'm sure it took a lot of work, and creativity, but they still remain the best Halloween parties I ever attended. Thank you for the memory. May you rest in peace.

We have been friends since 1934. I remember playing with Bill in the only fenced in sand pile on Bunn Street in Amsterdam, NY.
I remember hearing about the Jajanese bombing Pearl Harbor Dec. 7 1941 in Bill's living room.
We were in Troop 29 of the Boy's Scout of America.
In 1955 while home on leave from the Air Force, Bill introduced me to Arlene Alexander who was riding with Bill to GE from Amsterdam. He asked her if she would like to go on a blind date with me. The rest is history, we married on June 22, 1958.
Bill married my cousin Jean Housmann.
Thank you for being my best friend for over 80 years.
Good by Bill
