My deepest condolences to Betty and family on the death of her husband Jim Safford. He was wonderful boss to me both in New York and Delaware. He was always friendly, helpful, and willing to teach. No matter how tense the situation at work, he always kept his cool. He was a loving father, husband, and good friend. He will be sorely missed.

I am deeply sorry to hear about the death of Jim. Many years ago, I worked with Jim at the Department of Public Service. I recall how he was always willing to teach and lend a helping hand in time of need. I learned a lot from him. I was truly blessed in having the opportunity to work with Jim.

We all miss you more than we thought we could. Mom especially misses her constant companion and her loving husband. The 2 of you were quite the pair and it is surprising how suited you were to each other. So many people never got to know the man that we knew. Water balloon fights, walks in the creek and mud and how much you and Mom loved Disney World. It's a Small World will never been the same. Rest easy knowing that we will take good care of Mom.
