I have many fond childhood memories of Barbara and Tom. The earliest one was when my mom went into the hospital to deliver my sister, Julie. Because my grandparents had not yet arrived to look after me, I spent the night at the Morrises', feeling a bit confused about what was going on but very safe and protected. Later, when I joined 4H Club, we had our sewing classes in Barbara's well-equipped basement sewing room. She was a great teacher, very patient and kind. I can still hear her Johnny Matthis records playing in the background while we sewed. One year, when I was making a suit for Easter nd having trouble with the button holes, she came to my rescue.
