My Uncle Bob will always be remembered. His lifestyle was purposely quiet, his rose-covered cottage enchanted. He will always be the 12 year old boy who, because of the sweetness of his nature, made his sister a birthday cake from scratch on her 14th birthday and then took her to a movie with his dime. Their mother was in Canada and older sister not paying much attention, so Robert took it into his own little hands to make her a great birthday celebration, and she never forgot it! When my car broke down on the Massachusetts Turnpike in the wee hours of the morning and my father had to drive 3 hours to pick me up, who did he wake up to make the drive with him? Uncle Bob of course. You knew that he would always be there if you needed him. But mostly, he just enjoyed his life in his lovely little abode in Glenville, next to the 150 foot tree he planted from a seedling. We will miss him. Rita and Wendy Allen
