Obituary of Robert Eaton

Robert "Bob" Eaton, 94, passed away on February 1, 2015. He spent most of his life in Schenectady and Scotia-Glenville, New York. He was predeceased by his wife of many years Patricia Thornton Eaton, a brother John Eaton and a sister Margaret Clapper. Robert was a veteran of WWII and served three years on the Signal Corp stationed in New Guinea. He worked for a time at the G.E. before becoming a car salesman for a number of Schenectady dealerships. He attended Glenville Community Church for many years. Robert is survived by a sister Rita Allen residing with her daughter in Albany, as well as his sister Sarah Scott of Texas. A daughter Alice Eaton Palmer, son in law Hollis Palmer, a beloved grandson Scott Eaton Palmer married to Diana Layous Palmer and a great granddaughter Sadie Palmer as well as nieces and nephews. Robert was a kind, gentleman of deep quiet faith who could always be counted on. I feel privileged to call him Dad. The funeral will be private at the discretion of the family.
