My condolences go out to your family. I grew up with Danny's daughter's Erin & Tara we were childhood friends when I lived on a Van Vorst Rd many years ago. Danny was a great father. I remember when he got an Irish wolfhound and how excited the whole family seemed to be. Although I can't remember the dogs name. Even though I was very young I recognized what a hard working man he seemed to be. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Dan Moffett was not only a great Police Officer but, a great man. I remember Sgt. Moffett growing up in glenville and always looked up to him not only as a police officer but as a real positive role model in the community. It was officers like Dan and officer Craver, officer Smith and officer Lamb who set fine examples for the young people in the Scotia/Glenville area and will always be remembered for their great service. My sincerest condolences to the Moffett family and words can not express this terrible loss your family is going through. Dan gave his life to his community and now in death he still continues to help his fellow man in researching a cure for this terrible illness that took him from us so sudden. May he find comfort with the lord and be free of pain and look down upon you all with love and happiness until you meet again. God bless you all in this difficult time.
