Obituary of Carmen Cannavo

Carmen Cannavo, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2015 after a long illness at the Melech Hospice House in Tampa, Florida with his daughter at his side. Born in Limina, Sicily on October 6, 1935, Carmen was the son of the late Guiseppe and Domenica (Saglembeni) Cannavo. He arrived in the United States with his family in 1949 and resided in Schenectady, New York where he graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Mr. Cannavo pursued music and has been entertaining world-wide his entire career. In 1982, Tampa, Florida became his home where he later retired. He is survived by his Daughter, Regina Cannavo of Tampa, FL; his Brother, Benny Cannavo (Diane) of Schenectady; his Sister, Carmela Cannavo of Schenectady and nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm Friday, June 12th at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. A funeral mass will be held on at 9:00 am Saturday June 13th at Our Lady of Mt.
