Dear Jill,
I'm not sure you will remember me, but I was your classmate at Niskayuna High School. I just want to express my sorrow that you have lost your mother. She was evidently quite a remarkable lady. I wish you the best at this difficult time. I'm about to go through it myself. For the last fifteen years, I've been the care giver for my mother, who will be 100 in January if we have her that long.
I didn't know that Jack left us, apparently much too soon. Please accept my condolences for his passing as well.
I also want to let you know how much I liked you in those long-ago days. You have such a great wry sense of humor and you were constantly making me smile.
