Pat, Chris, Patricia and David, I am sorry to her of your loss. I fondly remember Michael as a next door neighbor as a child, one who welcomed my curiosity around his at-home TV repair business. It's the small things that do influence someone's life; I still actually have a tube tester and caddy which I'm sure is a reflection of Mike's generosity 50+ years ago; showing me how to safely de-vacuuate a CRT, test the tubes of a TV, giving me a very large GE tube radio to play with as a kid. I've enjoyed a 35+ year career as an electrical engineer and I'm pretty sure the "electrical" part had a lot to do with Mike sharing what he did with electronics with me. I remember he called on me one time to say how he heard my voice coming out of his TV, when I was experimenting with a radio transmitter, casually warning me to watch what I say! And who could forget the mosquito fogger he brought to the neighborhood, all the kids running through the clouds that poured out of that thing (hopefully holding my breath) I remember Mike showing me the device up close and how to start the pulse-jet with the machine's hand pump. Thank-you Mike for being such a kind neighbor - another man might have said "get outta here kid" - and I count knowing Mike as a blessing in my childhood experience. May you Rest In Peace.
