Obituary of Norma Wachob

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Norma Lozina Wachob, 84, the loving wife of the late George Wachob. Norma passed away at Ellis Hospital January 31, 2013 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Niagra Falls, NY on December 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Mary Barbic Lozina. She met and married George Wachob and soon the couple moved to Clifton Park, NY where they raised their family. Mrs. Wachob was an office administrator for a pediatrician in Latham for many years.She has devoted her life to working with children and staying an active member of her parish in Clifton Park, NY, St. Edward the Confessor. Besides her husband, Norma was predeceased by her son Dennis Wachob on December 25, 2011 and her sister, Mildred Kennedy. She is survived by her granddaughters Laura Lassiter, Lysa Wade, Valerie Cash and Elizabeth Wachob; her cherished great grandchildren: Grace Lassiter, Jerad Wade, Kaydence and Benjamin Wade, Haley and Jaden Cash. Norma leaves behind her brothers; Stanley, John, Robert and George Lozina and also numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated February 4, 2013 at 12 Noon at Saint Vincent de Paul Church, 1040 Cayuga Drive, Niagra Falls. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lewiston, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norma's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund in care of GLENVILE FUNERAL HOME, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville, NY 12302-4501.
