Obituary of Raymond Thomas Girard

Raymond Thomas (Tom) Girard, 63, of Glenville, NY passed away on May 2, 2017 at his home after a brief illness. Tom was born in Schenectady, NY on April 29, 1954 to the late Roland T. Girard and Catherine Holzworth Girard. After primary school at Saint Joseph’s of Scotia and Bishop Gibbons of Schenectady, Tom attended Northeastern University and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering. The following 38 years were spent employing that degree around the world in the service of General Electric. Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Jo (Kremzier) Girard, his son, R. Thomas (Andrea) Girard, Jr, daughters Katherine (Joseph) Flanagan and Margret Ann Girard, five grandchildren named Samantha Rose, Daniel James, Harrison Joseph, Sullivan Thomas, and Broderick Michael, plus several nieces and nephews. Additional survivors include sister Eileen (Ed) Girard Laine of Brunswick, Maine. Tom was predeceased by his older brother, Robert. Visitation from 1-3pm followed by a brief memorial service will take place on Sunday, May 7, at the Glenville Funeral Home on Glenridge Rd in Glenville, NY.
