Obituary of Alberta Henry

Alberta A. Henry, 86, after a long illness, died at Ellis Hospital on Tuesday February 19, 2013. Alberta was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Albert and Emily (Rasmussen) Kraus. She graduated from high school in South Philadelphia in 1945. She met and married Charles Arthur Henry on December 1, 1945. Alberta was of the Lutheran faith. Alberta was a housewife, devoted mother, and tolerant wife. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed being a member of The Edison Club and the many friendships she made. Alberta was an accomplished seamstress and also a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed music and was fun loving. Alberta is survived by her husband Charles; her sons: Robert T. (Stephanie), Jack (Patty), Jeffrey R. and David C. (Jody) Henry; grandchildren: Ryan, Kevin, Danny, Jennifer, Nicolas, and Corey, Brittany; great grandchildren: Taylor, Danelle, Jayden, Levi, and Ryker; brother Albert Kraus. Her sister Dorothy Ambrose predeceased Alberta. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 9 to 11 am on Friday February 22, 2013 from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville. Interment will take place at 12:30 pm at the Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd Schuylerville, NY.
