Oh, mom. I miss you so much. As the years go by, the pain of losing you does not diminish. Especially at this time of year, when you were so active and joyful, the heartache just continues to increase. It's hard to be in a celebratory mood when there is a hole in your heart. Life is so different without you and it hurts. Combined with the difficulty of raising teens, it seems more than I can bear. It seems like all the good times are in the past. You gave so much to so many and expected nothing in return. No one can match your loving, giving character. I would do anything just to be able to talk to you for 5 minutes. My heart aches every day.
