Grandpa Dick was my last living grandparent. He took me to the Alamo, showed me and my brother how to extend our burps with diet soda, and taught me to fire a gun. We weathered a hurricane and the ensuing power outage together. He was a loyal employee, and a dedicated parent and grandparent to many wonderful people. Dick taught me what it means to be a man with responsibilities, values, and commitments to live up to.
